Once upon a time…
It was the year 1987. There was a girl, her name was Ginny and she was 15. One day she needed to make a call to her dear friend Lily so she dialed the number and the phone was ringing. It just so happened there was a storm outside and when Lily answered Ginny was electrocuted and time traveled to an unknown land and time period, but Ginny didn’t know that…
“Where am I?” Ginny said to herself. Ginny started to explore this unknown place… From what she could understand, she was in the woods. Instinctively she started searching for shelter along with some food and water. Ginny found a cave and thought it would be a good place to stay for the night. This cave was conveniently located close to water and many bushes with berries. As Ginny walked in the cave she heard something very odd, sounded like a grunt. “Must be some sort of animal,” Ginny said. She continued further and then she was startled half to death! There were cave people and Lily was being held hostage! Ginny didn’t have time to think about why there were cave people or why Lily was there, all she knew at this time was RUN!
As she was running from the cavemen through the woods they caught her very soon. They took her back to the cave and Ginny knew this was not good. “Please let me go!” Ginny said with fright. The cavemen were confused. “They don’t speak english, you have to use hand motions,” Said Lily. Ginny was beginning to calm down and said to Lily, “How long have you been here?” “Maybe about ten minutes,” said Lily. “Do you know how you got here?” Lily said. “I was in the middle of calling you and then all of a sudden I was here!” Said Ginny. “Just as I answered that call I also appeared here! Must have been that storm,” Lily replied. The cave people were still confused and just about had it with their commotion! The cave people made it clear that Ginny and Lily need to stop talking with some sort of noise. One of the cavemen brought in this dead deer and made an “mmm” sound. Both Lily and Ginny thought this, apparently was dinner. They didn’t even cook it! Ginny and Lily were forced to eat some and it was gross. When this so-called dinner was over, Ginny and Lily ended up staying the night at the cave.
Lily woke up and Ginny and the cave people were all asleep. She thought this was a perfect opportunity to escape! She quietly woke up Ginny and successfully snuck out of the cave! As they crept away Ginny and Lily started looking for some sort of road or sign of a town or city or something! Nothing was found and then both of them realized there were no cave people in 1987! Not only were the teleported but they were time traveled! Now this was bad, really bad. ” I know what we need! A flux capacitor! And lightning, and something with wheels that will go 88 miles per hour… Nevermind,” Said Ginny. ” No! that actually could work! Remember, we just learned in school how to build a car and we have both seen that movie a thousand times so we could probably build a flux capacitor and wait for a storm!” Said Lily with hope that they could actually get home. Ginny said, “That will take a long time but we can do it!”
*2 months later* “We cannot do it,” said Ginny with loss of hope. All they had managed to do in those 2 months was make some really bad wheels. Ginny and Lily decided there was no hope, they had to survive in the time of cave people. Also they made a pretty good shelter and managed fairly well on food and water. Ginny and Lily were no Doc Brown and Marty McFly.
“Ginny, wake up,” said a familiar voice. I woke up realizing it was just a dream and saw my mom looking at me and thought I must have overslept big time because my mom never wakes me up! “Sweetie you overslept and missed your brothers big baseball game this morning. Must be because you stayed up till 3:00 in the morning last night watching Back to the Future 1,2, and 3, Oh well. You better get up and get dressed for the party,” My mom said. (That explains the dream) “What party?” I replied. “Your brother and his team won the championship! Too bad you missed it, but the least you can do is come to the party.” My mom left and I was so relieved that the dream had not been real.
The End
